My grip is slipping, must be fall
In spring I didn't slip at all
I'm brittle, and my color's changed
My molecules are not the same
It's hard for me to face the fact
That death is near, I won't be back
A relative will take my place
But they won't have my smile or grace
Oh my, that wind is swift and cold
Or is that just my ancient soul
And yet I've lived for just one year
My grip is gone---I'm out of here

Well William ,because you have neveransweredd ONE of my poems in the five years I have been on YAP Crap .. I'm going to answer yours because I'm not a BABY .. LOL
The night is light
the day is darkening
the wild wind never is a blowing
I'm siting in the back of the sky
the clouds are above me
and when the moon is overhead
it's at my feet cos I am Dead ..
If you don't like it .. Put it where the sun don't shine LOL

Lovely!
On the whims on whimsy winds,
blowing in the breeze;
Our time has come to float away,
as we flutter from our trees.
No more green to grace us,
Just wisps of ancient, wrinkled;
Light enough to float away;
Crushed underfoot and crinkled.

Like a leaf, some day we too will leafve.
I commented on prior poem and was glad you posted
this again. Also, for commenting on my last one sir,
my answer is laconic (at least for me, an accomplishment, he he):
Very good piece of introspection and reflection for us all.
Congrats

if a leaf should fall
and no one's there to see it
could it have been pushed?
