So, I think I should add something: you go about explaining all of this by talking first about wanting to be honest, and not misleading the guy/gal you're dating...building false expectations and hopes that you privately know will not be fulfilled.

You are looking for a casual or non-committed relationship. Many men are looking for a non-committed relationship, but only with them. Does that make sense? I think they want the same woman - unless they find someone else.

My mom is at that place. She typically describes her ideal relationship as one of companionship, which seems pretty accurate. She's not looking for a husband or a baby daddy; she just wants someone that she can share her life with. Hope that helps!
