Are epiphanies the act of God?

"Deus ex Machina"

Deus ex Machina (Latin): "God from the Machine", is a literary device in which a seemingly unsolvable problem is solved out of the blue, as if by the act of God.

Deus Ex Machina is more of an apercu.

I think an epiphanie is more about knowing the nature of something rather than an explanation of a situation. Also epiphany is perceived as spiritually inspired as you say, not an act but the substance.
