That will work, but is not a great board.

It depnds. Do you want to make a general purpose computer out of it? Then an inexpensive board will do fine. Do you want to build a gaming rig - then you at least have to make sure it has the available slots for paripharels. Do you plan to overclock it, as it is that chips raison d'etre? Do you want a board that you might be able to put an even better cpu on in the future ( as a board optimized for that cpu using a z68 chipset may be a bit cheaper than a z77 optimized for an ivybridge)?

z68's have been the perfect, yet now the z77's have come out and there are some that are fairly low-fee besides. The z77's supply you close up by USB 3.0 and a few different perks. ASROCK Z77 severe sequence is an exceptionally good fee. sort finding on what you opt for out of your motherboard. the surprising sort (9) has geared up in bluetooth and wifi, yet once you do not choose which you will pass all the way down to the 6 or 4. look into the positioning to evaluate.

I'd recommend any of the Asus P8Z77 series motherboards. They're great for mid to high end setups.

get a "asus" or "gigabyte" or "msi"
