  • will this power supply have enough power to run the graphics card in the system?

this is the power supply in the link below

    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/500w-ezcool-silent-...

    System specs:

Amd athlon dual core processor 4450e 2.3ghz (45W TDP)

    nvidia geforce 8800 gts 512mb

    3gb ram

    1 hdd

    1 dvd rw

    1 card reader

    1 case fan

it is a 500w power supply , it is one of those very cheap generic ones very light build but as you can see when you scroll down on the first link above it has the following voltage specifications , but i have read online that the 8800 gts 512mb needs 28a and a 500w power supply minimum im not sure if they mean the +12vdc which is 22a but the other ampages say 27a , 26a , do the others make up for the lost 6amps shortage , or is the ampage enough on my current power supply , i am confused and unsure , the link below is where they recommend 28a , scroll down till you see.

    link : http://www.sb-computers.co.uk/pages/components/psu...

    the psu ampages

    +3.3vdc 26a

    +5vdc 27a

    +12vdc 22a

    -12vdc 0.5a

    +5vsb 2.0a

  • What pc specs will beat the ps4/xbox 720 specs in terms of graphics performance?

i am trying to futureproof for the next gen of games/consoles at the cheapest cost , i heard the graphics on the ps4 will be the equivalent of a Radeon HD 7850 or higher. so will the following spec beat the graphics on those consoles if not what will at the cheapest cost , preferably cheaper than the ps4/xbox 720 estimated price.

    i3-3220

    GTX 550 Ti 1GB

    4GB OR 8GB DDR3 1333MHZ RAM

  • Big or small difference in gaming performance?

i could get an i3-2120 new for £90

  • Should i upgrade to intel?

i am planning to upgrade to an intel socket 1155 (i3/i5 2nd/3rd gen) from am3+ (FX-4100) which means changing the motherboard too and reloading windows but i wanted to know if it is worth the hassle/money because i currently have alot of programs/games installed on my hdd and i dont want to loose them (is there any way of backing them up?), i have heard intel are launching the new Socket 1150 (Haswell/Broadwell) in 2013 rumours say this June (1 months time) so i am not sure whether to upgrade to socket 1155 or wait for the new one , i am mainly changing from amd to intel because amd dont seem to do any good processors anymore the processors seem to be vanishing from shelves in stores intel is dominating the market with better processor architecture and the fx-4100 is a bit of a fail purely because software hasnt caught up on utilizing the so called "four cores" amd fx was meant to give , i thought it was a good processor when i bought it you know a four core high clock speed , high cache but intel i3 owns it , am3+ just seems to be dead i have to downgrade from my fx-4100 to an older processor (AMD Phenom II X4/X6) which is older but better i have heard but there is no sort of futureproof reliability/performance/stability or upgrade option its downgrading only (in terms of new architecture/Processors)

Correct me if i am wrong , this is what i have read online and been informed by pc technicians i am very dissapointed as i went AMD not just for cost reasons as i was willing to pay a bit extra for performance but i didnt think it will be this bad not only in terms of performance as i could have paid like £20 extra for an i3-2120 or something but in terms of upgradability.

  • What Power Supply do i need for this gaming computer?

I need to know what Wattage Power supply i need for this Computer.Im going to be looking at Good quality power supplies becuase currently i have an Alpine 750w Power supply which i think is Bad quality and recently it has started to make a hissing noise if i put my ear near the power supply i can hear it , someone said the voltage regulator might be damaged and reviews on amazon said they only last about a few months to half a year under pressure so i dont want to risk it blowing up and possibly damaging my other components also ive realised how improtant a quality power supply is because over time it could strain your other components and you'll be in an even bigger mess , so basicly im looking for a good quality/brand power supply not too expensive though and i need to know what wattage i need, also what is the difference between Modular and non Modular Power supply apart from the cables?.Difference between continuous and non continuous power supply.

And what tips would you give when Buying a new Power supply and what power supplies do you reccommend brand/type wise etc , in full detail please , Thanks.

  • How can the Xbox 360 Still Produce Very Good Graphics Even though the System was Released Back in Late 2005 UK?

I keep thinking in a Gaming computer sort of way.For e.g you have to upgrade the components of your gaming computer every couple of years , but it seems the Xbox 360 is opposite. And also Is it because they base the graphics around the Xbox 360's Graphics Potential for e.g They make the Graphics Good When Producing the game on the CD Therefore you not having to Upgrade your Xbox 360 Components (I Dont think you can upgrade them anyway) and does the Xbox 360 still have more Graphics Potential , More better Graphics to Produce? or is it dying out and they need to replace it , because PlayStation said the PS3 can Last a Minimum of 10 years, If I am wrong please correct me , just curious

  • Rooney is NOT better than Messi?

I cant believe people are comparing Rooney to messi.I mean for crying out loud have you seen the way messi fools and skips past defenders, he is a magician with the ball at his feet,so talented he is in a different league of his own. Then on the other hand Rooney who has been so inconsistent last season only 11 goals in the premier league, and the way you have to feed the ball to him and he still misses , the only good goalscoring season he has had was 2009-2010 two years ago when he scored 26 goals in the premier league only.Otherwise he has scored under 15 goals in the premier league for 5 years? his Sportsmanship is awful aswell.

  • Who should Arsenal sign before the 2011/2012 season?

Defenders , goalkeepers , strikers , midfielders anybody just the key players that the Squad is lacking. Arsene needs to dig deep into his pocket for some quality experienced players.
