What Power Supply do i need for this gaming computer?

I need to know what Wattage Power supply i need for this Computer.Im going to be looking at Good quality power supplies becuase currently i have an Alpine 750w Power supply which i think is Bad quality and recently it has started to make a hissing noise if i put my ear near the power supply i can hear it , someone said the voltage regulator might be damaged and reviews on amazon said they only last about a few months to half a year under pressure so i dont want to risk it blowing up and possibly damaging my other components also ive realised how improtant a quality power supply is because over time it could strain your other components and you'll be in an even bigger mess , so basicly im looking for a good quality/brand power supply not too expensive though and i need to know what wattage i need, also what is the difference between Modular and non Modular Power supply apart from the cables?.Difference between continuous and non continuous power supply.

And what tips would you give when Buying a new Power supply and what power supplies do you reccommend brand/type wise etc , in full detail please , Thanks.

Specificiation:

AMD FX 4100 3.6GHZ Black Edition

Asus M5A78L/USB3

Kingston Hyper X Blu 2x4GB DDR3 1333MHZ RAM

Asus Nvidia Geforce GTX 550TI 1GB PCIe 2.0 X16

Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200RPM SATA HDD

SATA Optical Drive DVD-RW-CD-RW Combo

TP Link Wireless Network Card 150MBPS PCIe x1

120MM 2000RPM Blue LED FAN

OLD DC Fan Contoller Which says it uses 12V?

Update:

Also Just to mention i need the power supply to be reliable and not too electricity consuming i know it will consume some but just not alot if you get what i mean and is the max output on the +12v volt rail important and can you get +12v dual rail is it better?. what is erp/eup if the power supply does not meet this standard does it use alot of electricity?.i currently have a ATX v2.03 size Power supply and it fits right so im not sure if these reccomended Power supplys will fit i can tell you my case it is an Enermax Staray ECA3170-BL The one with a blue 120MM LED fan in the front.

Update 2:

Reliable as in lasting quite a few years not a few months :)

Update 3:

Thank you both for your answers , Alex how long have you had your OCZ ZS Series 650W 80 Plus Bronze Power Supply and do you strain it for things like gaming also i wanted to know if this psu has the right cables to fit into the motherboard 24 pin and whatever the other connectors are etc. and did you say it will be the right size to fit into the power supply slot at the top of my case?

Soz if i did repeat some stuff i just wanted to double check i buy the right one but this 650w one should be enough under load like heavy gaming right? and how much wattage roughly would i have spare.

This is the one iv'e been looking at and been told by you , just incase there isnt no different models or something.

Update 4:

Also have you tried this Power supply it is abit more expensive but the +12 volt rail is a bit higher and it is modular more tidy the one you quoted is not modular , but you make the call since you might know abit more than me about PSU'S

    Hello!

I will address your questions in order of you asking them:

-Modular power supplies do not have any cables plugged in initially, so you can plug in the cables that you need which results in less of a mess of cables, whereas a non-modular power supply has all of the cables coming out of the unit and results in a bigger mess. I suggest getting a Modular power supply for better cooling.

-The difference between continuous and non continuous power supplies is that a continuous will protect your system from an energy spike.

--I would suggest to buy a power supply that is at least 80 Plus Bronze certified, as they are better quality. Brands-wise, I suggest getting a Corsair, SeaSonic, or Thermaltake for the best quality. Lastly, I suggest getting a Modular power supply anywhere from 650w on up so you don't risk blowing your parts.

    I hope this helps

Yea well done on the return, you have saved yourself a lot by getting that out of your system before its caused damage.

The watts isnt the most important in a way. you want the ones with the 80+ Bronze certification. so you know what your getting from them.

I trust these brands Seasonic, XFX and OCZ. i currently have the OCZ ZS 80+ Bronze 650 watt power supply for my build.

Your system will actually only need about 500watts so i would get a 600-700 watt powersupply.

i would recommend the one i said above, but also the XFX Core PRO650watts power supply, its one of the best around at the moment.

    I hope this helps

edit: the ones i have told you are among the most reliable either are, i have been using mine for a while and i havent heard any bad things about any of the ones i have suggested.

i stay clear of dual rails and so do most other people, its better to have one good rail than 2 working at a lower power.

i have given you 2 power supplies that fit your need perfectly, you will be happy with either
