What the F**k was EA thinking when they released SimCity 5?

I heard that SimCity 5 was released as an Online-only game! Now even though there are cracks available that allows offline play, that doesn't excuse the s**t that must have been running through EA's executives heads when they created this game! What happens if your a mobile user that regularly moves around to differnent offices and trains? Sure wireless broadband is the solution...but the damn game cost ~$60 on it's own! Now add to the fact that you need an internet connection...so you will also have an additional internet bill! Not a problem in the US, where all the companies rip you off on postpaid plans, but in other countries, where people can only afford prepaid net, what about 'em! instead of just buying a game for $60, they now have to buy a game for $60 as well as a stupid $50 internet bill per month! Also since your cities are saved on a server, what happens in 5 years time when the servers close down due to lack of players (Like CitiesXL did), those who are playing it will never be able to play it again, and will lose all their work! So that ~$60 game is only useful for as long as EA make a good profit (which probably won't happen! EA is releasing even worse S**t every year!)! When EA loses profit ...well! So simple thing is...SimCity 5 worth buying for those who want to buy it? And what happens when you live in a country with poor net connection, or if you don't have internet connection? Wow! This is an even larger clusterf**k than windows Vista!

EA is the worst. I still play the sims 2 except once sims 3 came out they completely abandoned the sims2 website and made everything unusable and now they have taken it down completely despite the fact they still have lots of people that play the game, and they still SELL the game.

As well, the launch date for simcity 5 the servers were down because EA is dumb and their servers couldn't handle all the people.

You are probably better off buying and earlier version of simcity (I play sim city 4 and it's decent enough) Or, sometimes you can find torrents of beta copies of online games where you can play offline except you don't have all the perks of the real game. i do this with minecraft, which isn't an EA game.

EA makes the games online because it makes it harder for people to download copies. it just makes it harder, not impossible.

EA is also the absolute worst for customer service. they are a nightmare. seriously FCKU EA.

When you consider that EA is a horrible, cash-grubbing corporation that may instead make some quick money with the aid of ripping folks off than push out fine games. I mean, EA has owned BioWare for quite a while now. They failed to intervene with ME1 at all. But Mass result was once a hit, in order that they kicked Microsoft games [off their own fuc*in' project] and ruined the sequence. Dragon Age: Origins, used to be BioWare and edge of fact [with an EA stamp] and used to be splendid. Because it used to be positive, EA reduce out fringe of reality, and made the hunk of shi* DA 2. Useless house [besides being the greatest horror game ever] used to be a landmark success for Visceral games [also owned by EA] and it used to be real a recreation made all by means of them. EA then tells them they have got to 'tone down the horror elements' as EA's test agencies observed it 'too scary'. TOO horrifying!? ARE YOU FUC*ING KIDDING ME!? THAT used to be THE point OF the sport! So EA became lifeless space into a regular motion shooter pile of shi*. 2 wasn't exactly horrible, however I refuse to play 3 out of primary. Like you said, it can be a clusterf**okay and it can be all since EA has no foresight prior cramming some speedy cash in the pocket, whilst cramming shitty slapped collectively video games with giant titles down our throats.
