When I was 12 I ate like a horse and didn't put on any weight. At that age you burn calories at a ridiculous pace since you're headed into puberty (if not in it already) so you're body is still growing and needs those calories to enable it. Don't try and hold back eating if you're hungry, unless you're currently overweight or obese. But if you're at a healthy weight right now don't try to change you're eating habits unless all you eat is sugar or some unhealthy stuff. Eat, but eat smart, and DO NOT think about counting calories at your age, you're fine.

Source(s): I'm 20 years old and 6'5". All that eating helped me grow. Good genes also helped of course haha

reckoning on if hes lively or no longer, it varies. If he's lively he could desire 4300 energy approximately. If he's sedentary (bedridden), approximately 3200 If he's slightly lively, perhaps 3800 (undergo in suggestions that calorie calculators arent continually precise. on occasion the metabolism may well be slower or swifter) yet in accordance to the BMI charts, he's obese. perhaps you may get him to eat fit ingredients than familiar? And exercising somewhat greater? good success.
