Modern Science in the Bible.

Where in the Bible does it teach people to have blind unquestioning faith?

I have questioned my entire belief system. I didn't just read the Bible and think "It's true because it says so!" I wanted to know for sure if what I believed was based on facts.

Have you questioned your beliefs? Have you questioned what Dawkins has said or do you simply have blind unquestioning faith in what he wrote? Are you willing to question your beliefs or would you rather have blind unquestioning faith. The logical and rational thing to do is to question your beliefs. Isn't that what Atheists complain that Christians never do? That we never question our beliefs? But you're not like that right? You're going to question your beliefs. You're going to *gulp* question Dawkins....right? Brainwashed people just believe whatever they are indoctrinated with and don't question those beliefs. You're going to question your beliefs right? You're not indoctrinated and brainwashed after all...right?

Hey man, it's your choice.

If you decide that you don't want to have blind unquestioning faith and you don't want to be brainwashed, then I suggest you read these books. If you aren't willing to question your beliefs, then be warned that you've been indoctrinated and are brainwashed.

The major problem with "The God Delusion" is that it isn't meant to honestly engage in discourse about faith. It's 450 or so pages of insult, rant, and failure to address faith from any sensible direction. His opening comments about Einstein are both seriously slanted in favor of his views and ignores the majority, including the last years, of his life, a life of tremendous faith. It's basically a more smart-alek version of "The Selfish Gene," with a few more sarcastic insults tossed around. His entire argument is basically the same failed argument presented by Nietzsche over 100 years earlier. It is a negative assault on any faith based out of love as a "slave faith." Nietzsche's argument is basically destroyed by the understanding of inherent need for both faith and for giving to others which is found in isolated societies that have never heard of Christ and never had a slave society, lacking any environment for the 'selfish gene' to manifest.

Just because some holy book written by man may or may not be wrong, doesn't mean you should deny that the universe was created by something vastly superior to us; so superior and incomprehensible, we can't even fathom. You Atheists or "Antitheists" really need to think about things seriously, and follow a line of thought all the way to the end.

I have read some of the 'God Delusion.' Thought it was rubbish.
