How to look better on camera/in photos?

So I'm wearing full makeup and did a test by pretending to take a pic of myself on my ipod touch and my skin looked all oily, yellow, blotchy, discolored and kinda red is some spots. I felt like you could see every yucky pimple.:( How is it that my skin looks gross if I'm wearing a full face of makeup? Any tips for how to make my makeup look just as good in pics/on camera as it does in real life? Thanks!:) Also is there anyway to make the quailty of the pics in HD? Thanks!:)

Unfortunately, using an ipod screws your photo over. It's better to use an actual camera instead of a camera that's only a few mega-pixels.

From what I hear how you describe is that you should wear foundation if you want flawless looking skin.

First try I tinted moisturizer instead of foundation like a bb cream that will give you more of a natural look and if your skin still looks oily try a little powder. If the image still comes out weird you can enhance the image by adding a glow setting(most editing software has it).
