What is the basis for the UK prejudice towards immigrants?
What will be gained vs lost should the UK back out of treaties and agreements with the EU and eastern block countries. I have moved here from the states, I purchased property, I spend all my retirement money here, my ancestry here dates back before the 1600's. Why do I now feel unwelcome.

the UK is one of deserve countries in the world and that's a fact so its not like we don't like immigration. We are normally welcoming with immigration but we have over a unemployment crisis, housing crisis and a public services crisis. You could just invest more money to sort this problem out but we have a £130B a year deficit with total debt estimated to hit £1.6 Trillion so throwing money at the problem is not an option.
Not just that we may be the United Kingdom of Great Britain but people forget we are such a small little country that is only 700 miles long and not very wide. We have over a million unemployed young people and Jobs and unemployed ratio there is not enough Jobs in the UK to put everyone into work.
You will probably use the argument the British young are lazy let someone else do the crap Jobs. I am 25 and worked all my life as a cleaner and bin man and would work on a **** farm for minimum wage. Yet I cannot get a Job only a crappy 6 hour a week cleaning Job yet half the work force down my local recycling center are Polish.
Good on them for wanting to progress there life I take my hat off to them its not there fault. Its the systems fault the unelected commission of the EU that don't take into local economy resources into account. I am afraid to say that the problem is getting so bad here and the political elite refuse to get a grip with the situation a lot of people r getting very nasty towards immigrants.

I do not think there is any problem with prejudice towards migrants that bring their own money and skills that are needed and who are not a drain on the economy.
We have been suffering an invasion of poor , uneducated, penniless people coming to the UK in the hundreds of thousands, they bring with them backward cultural and ideological and tribal traits that run counter to the culture of the United kingdom and its people, these migrants do not work, refuse to learn or speak or write English, create no go areas, create tensions within poorer communities due to violence and rape and criminality. All this has been happening for decades and has increased, so now many people in the UK do not recognise their own home town or city or region due to mass 3rd word immigration.
Many of the 3rd world immigrants have am entitlement complex, they believe we are to blame for the British empire and how it supposedly stole from their countries ( there is one poster on here talking about this, and flying her countries flag, so why would she want to be in the UK ??) the fact is British people living today have got nothing to do with the British empire and what men and women long dead done or did not do, these people also forget the good the british empire dine in their countries, like introduce irrigation, medicine, roads, railways, education, farming methods etc etc etc, these people also forget the British government has been throwing billions at these countries for decades, and still they are failures, its not our fault. Go and improve your own country, we send enough In aid.
The European union has made an open borders policy law, since many of the por former soviet bloc countries joined the EU in 2004, they have came here in millions, taking welfare, social housing, jobs, and all else that is not bolted down, its an invasion and akin to Colonisation.

i can not blame the guy families for coming over to this us of a to extra powerful themselves. everybody that goals those people as being incorrect is finding interior the incorrect direction. What bugs me is that that's being denied to those in this us of a because of fact the government has enable in to an already notably populated us of a with out figuring a thank you to stability the funds to regulate. we are all seeing serious problems with first time shoppers for housing, serious problems with public sector wages and all the whilst permitting those that have on no account paid national coverage get entry to to effectively loose amenities. This needless to say isn't the fault of those coming here to artwork, however the priority of a central authority purpose on greed. There are basically too many situations of too lots funds spent on those no longer correct to this us of a, like the money given to those to start businesses of their very own us of a or the toddler earnings memories ... I too am ashamed of what this us of a has grow to be. a rustic extra purpose on ecu ideals and investment of those quite than the form and help of this as quickly as large us of a. the agricultural scene is extremely lots diverse to the city. everybody knows everybody interior the small us of a villages. I surely have not heard of any lawsuits from there, apart from that the "locals" housing were taken by city kinds. till the surprising stability is reached, there'll consistently be those idiots that take it out on the persons. unhappy, yet could of been seen could take place. Mismanagement of the optimum order from people paid around £100k a year to attain this ... Its quite pathetic.

Immigration, specially from the Indian subcontinent India Pakistan etc is ruining the UK. But worst of all it was forced upon us, not one real Brit voted for it. Actually we have no problem with European immigrants from Germany, France, Sweden ,Italy etc.

Cut off the UKs food supply. Then you'll feel real prejudice in the form of starvation.

People who object don't really know what they're talking about. Generally speaking it's because of their history why so many people from the so called sub-continent of Asia come here! But they gladly forget that. They also gladly lapse memory when it comes to the fact they themselves went all over the world and proceeded to hurt and cause chaos. They're afraid of it happening to them. But that won't happen. Neither will their unfounded fear of, 'benefit scrounging', 'jobs being taken' - spot the oxymoron, or their culture being overrided.
Note: British culture IS racism.

Fear, ignorance, mis-information the usual reasons.
Media and politicans are playing on these fears.
