....And you back Obama's philosophy ?

Here is what his backers are up to (in part)

Over the weekend, we came four votes away from the United States Senate giving our Constitutional rights over to the United Nations. In a 53-46 vote, the senate narrowly passed a measure that will stop the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty.

The Statement of Purpose from the bill read:

To uphold Second Amendment rights and prevent the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty.

The U.N. Small Arms Treaty, which has been championed by the Obama Administration, would have effectively placed a global ban on the import and export of small firearms. The ban would have affected all private gun owners in the U.S., and had language that would have implemented an international gun registry on all private guns and ammo.

Astonishingly, 46 of our United States Senators were willing to give away our Constitutional rights to a foreign power.

Dude, the United Arms Trade Treaty is about the US trading weapons with foreign organizations and regimes, including ones controlled by terrorist groups. It has nothing to do with the 2nd Amendment.

The US Gives our rights over to a foreign entity every time we sign any treaty ever. Congress has the power to ratify all treaties that power is given to them in the constitution.

In addition no treaty may go against the constitution or it is null and void by American law.

Finally The UN small arms treaty would not have prohibited the import and export of small firearms into or out of the USA. You could still buy a Lugar or any other foreign made handgun you want.

The UN small arms treaty would not have created a registry of all gun owning Americans or even those Americans who own foreign-made guns.

    Hey Steve.

Can you point to where in that Arms Trade Treaty our 2nd Amendment Rights are being violated?

I've heard pro-gun alarmists tell me this over and over, but not a single one of them has been able to provide an example of any text in that treaty that would do that.

Look, I'm a total pro-gunner. I re-upped my membership to the NRA for 5 years and contributed $200 extra to the NRA-ILA to fight all these stupid gun control bills recently.

But I have yet to see a single FACT that this ATT will infringe on our right to own a gun in any way. Believe me, if there was actual text that could be pointed to, every gun rights group would be coming out of the woodwork with it.

I support the ban on international arms trading

it does nothing to change internal American law

we always " make treaties " which must be approved by Congress
