Yes, I believe in perfecting genetic engineering in order to wipe out genetic diseases or faults that make us prone to diseases, so one day it could be a rare thing to be born with a severe handicap and more people can have an equal chance of living a full and successful life. Since we've developed advanced technology to prolong ourselves and almost everyone gets a chance to breed, humans are now stunted from evolving to our best, which also makes us very weak from recovering from a massive disaster, so genetic engineering could also help make us stronger and smarter as a whole. If I could choose, I would want a child that didn't have to suffer from severe autism, schizophrenia, bi-polar disorder, thyroid/Grave's disease, breast cancer, or many of the other things that run in my family.
