2 AnswersOlympics7 years agoWhy don't they marry a foreigner?
I know a lot of families in India complain about the dowry, that it's too expensive. Some women even get killed or injured when families disagree over dowry. Some even kill unborn og newborn girls because they can't afoord their dowry later.
My question is: Why don't they marry the girls off to a foreign man? In most countries, dowry is illegal and not practiced. So why not let the girls marry someone from a neighboring country?? Or even someone from far away. Don't say it's because of divorce rates, because divorce happens all over the world, even in India.

Women are called temptresses, whores, they are referred to as unreliable, they can't be trusted, etc... It's almost like they want us to apologize for being born female. I know that older religions were more favorable towards women, so when and why did relgion become so male dominated?

4 AnswersInfectious Diseases8 years agoHow can I buy "people-friendly" clothes?
I know the horrific conditions in Asian clothing factories, and hate buying clothes from those places, because the people making them suffer so much. But almost all the clothes in my local stores are made in Asia. I try to find clothes made in Europe or the US, but it's almost impossible.
I don't buy clothes for fashion reason, I only buy clothes that I need, but I still need clothes. How can I find clothes made by peple who get decent wages and decent treatment?
