Why didn't Bush go after Bin Laden after 9/11?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4PGmnz5Ow-o&feature...
"The idea of focusing on one person shows that people don't understand the scope of the issue"
-Bush on Bin Laden in 2002
"Truly not concerned about Bin Laden"
"I just don't spend much time on it"
etc, etc, etc
But yeah, let's blame Clinton. Idiots.

Wow, the depth of your ignorance is amazing. Bush had all our intelligence agencies looking for Bin Laden right up to the time they found him.
What Bush understood and you don't, obviously, is that after 9-11 Al Queda splintered and were no longer under control of one person. His main focus was killing Al Queda. Killing or capturing Bin Laden was not going to make the terrorists stop and it hasn't, has it? He continued to look for him but his primary goal was to destroy the terrorist group.

Did George Bush or Osama Bin encumbered purpose 11th of September? Bin weighted down. I've normally been informed it used to be Bush's fault, considering I watched movies of him simply sitting there rather of doing anything in regards to the aircraft factor, What would folks have favored for him to have carried out in regards to the aircraft factor. Put on a superman custom and fly to NYC to avoid wasting each person. George Bush was at a florida tuition with a room full of kids when he heard the information of the planes flying into the sector alternate center. What the hell did men and women expect the man to do. Will have to he have started screaming and yelling and run out of the room. You would see the appear of problem on his face when it used to be being whispered in his ear what had occurred. Bush did the proper thing by means of last calm for the sake of the kids. Liberal Hater proof proves the administration knew in regards to the assault or was criminally negligent Then prove it. Let's see this so referred to as evidence. He could've had them shoot the plane down. How? George Bush obtained know-how "after the planes had crashed" into the alternate middle. Nobody had any abilities that the planes where going to crash into the exchange middle until it happened. Although they had knowledge, do you suppose it is just that easy to shoot down a aircraft full of persons over a city.

Not blaming Clinton, but Clinton was practically handed Bin Laden and declined. So Clinton, like Bush, didn't believe there was enough intelligence to support Bin Laden as a priority.

He did.
But, unlike you, he was smart enough to realize that destroying Osama's field commanders had a far more significant effect than simply going after ObL.
And he was smart enough to realize that killing ObL wouldn't actually change anything. Al Qaeda was not going away, terrorism wasn't going away.
He also considered the fact that killing ObL might be considered a personal political benefit, but focusing on him to the exclusion of the rest of the organization was both counterproductive and self-indulgent.
But counterproductive and self-indulgent is right up Obama's alley, isn't it?

bin Laden if taken while in Sudan would have had the effect of stopping the growth of al Qaeda in Afghanistan. And the biggest source of funding for al Qaeda at that point, and the biggest fund raiser, was bin Laden himself. Without bin Laden to establish and fund al Qaeda in Afghanistan...

He did. You know that. Not EXCLUDING all other actions to focus JUST on Bin-Laden is not remotely the same as affirmatively REFUSING as Clinton SAID Clinton did.

Why didn't Clinton go after Bin Laden after:
WTC bombing 1993.
2 African Embassy bombings 1998
USS Cole Bombing 2000

I like how cons say "if Clinton had got bin Laden, it would have stopped 9-11"
but then go on to say "eh, bin laden didn't matter, they will still attack anyway" when defending Bush.. .lol

Maybe he realized that the problem was not just one person but terrorism in general was the enemy.
If Bin Laden was the only problem, then terrorism would have stopped when the Navy Seals took him out.
