How is Clara Oswin Oswald as a companion on Doctor Who?

Is she as good as the others?

Well... I don't particularly care for her. I feel no connection to her at all.

Amy is my favorite, but my dislike for Clara is more than my missing Amy.

I like her, but she has some major shoes to fill since she's replacing both Amy and Rory.

I think the way people will feel about her in series 8 will depend on what Moffat reveals about her

    "impossible"ness in the finale.

As for whether or not shes as good as previous companions, thats kind of unfair. She's had about 7 episodes so far, whereas the others have had entire series and appearances in later episodes.

I like her better than Martha, who I always felt was the rebound companion (common sentiment I know).

Clara seems to be seeking approval from The Doctor, who isn't always forthcoming with her. (He was very embittered after the Ponds left). I'll be anxious to see her interactions with a certain re-occuring character in the finale.

I particularly don't care whether they appear adorable together, that is no longer what doctor Who is set. Having stated that, I prefer Clara (I feel obliged to factor out that Clara Oswin Oswald was the Victorian one, the one we've got obtained now could be just known as Clara Oswald, and the one from Asylum of the Daleks was once referred to as Oswin Oswald.) As amazing as Karen Gillan is, Amy was once incredibly infuriating, she was once horrible to Rory, and used to be tremendously selfish.

I haven't really warmed to her in the role yet, I don't dislike her but there doesn't seem to be anything special about the character she plays.

She's better than Rose and Martha, but not as good as Donna, Amy and Rory (at least so far).

I think she's ok but she's got a lot of work to do to connect with the audience.
