No. No food causes pimples or breakouts unless you are allergic. Those are all myths. There will always be new 'studies' saying that eating some type of food causes pimples but they're not true. Truly the only way food can possibly cause pimples without you being allergic is by getting it on your face.
Say for example you eat chips (which are greasy) and you forgot you had the grease on your hands and you touch your face. It could possibly clog the pores causing pimples. That's really the only way.
You can keep enjoying mangoes :).

That's an old wives tale sweetheart.
Mangoes are good for skin because they are high in Vitamin A.
I eat mangoes in the summer and have perfect skin (I have psoriasis on my scalp but it has nothing to do with mangoes).
When I hear the word mango I think of Doctor No, Underneath The Mango Tree was a song that was playing on the radio in 007's car, at the bar, and Honey Ryder was singing it when she walked out of the water.
That's it I have to watch that movie again!

hey what i think mangoes are the summer seasonal fruits and there is no problem in eating them...!
however "Mangoes are a rich source of beta carotene (vitamin A), which is a strong antioxidant. Apart from the rejuvenation effect, vitamin A also has dramatic effects on acne / pimples. Beta-carotene is the nutrient that's crucial for your skin. It's converted by your body into vitamin A and is so important that it's often prescribed as a topical treatment (one that's applied directly on to the skin) for acne."
Vitamin A is the greatest friend to good skin and its deficiency can cause dull skin, open pores, acne, as well as ***** eruptions on the arms, elbows and knees.
Consuming mango regularly makes the complexion fair and the skin soft and shining say experts. Dr Goel says, "Mango is effective in relieving clogged pores of skin. It is high in antioxidants and low in carbohydrates." "Apart from the fruit pulp, the skin of the fruit is rich in AHA (alpha hydroxyl acids) and is used as skin exfoliant and rejuvenator. It has a more rapid cell turnover rate," she adds.
Aesthetician Ritu Tanwar says, "Rub the skin of a ripe mango, on your face gently, for a few minutes. This fruit has many ingredients that can help the skin to remain smooth and young. It has a rejuvenating effect."

Yes. As mango is hot by nature, its excessive eating can cause pimples and other skin problems.

Mangoes do cause breakouts often. Mangoes, durans, and pineapples all cause heat inside the body which cause oil and toxins.

If you are allergic, it can cause it in any season of the year. Sometimes some pesticide can also trigger pimples.
