I dont know why people cant leave Atheists alone?

The bible describes atheists as evil people and thus they are seen as evil people even when they usually arn't. Thus they follow their beliefs and label them godless sinners who deserve to burn.

Another reason is intolerance. People do not like people of other faiths so imagine how it is when they have no faith. Yea, not pretty.

Another reason is people think you nee religion to be moral so they think atheists are immoral (SO WRONG).

In addition people also do not like it when evidence against their God provided and thus ignorence mixes with intolerance.

Well, first of all... humans are very egotistical, just like every other animal on this blasted earth. We are based on greed, which comes from the base instinct of survival to reproduce.

We will always fight each other for the best and the greatest, no matter what. Nothing we do, or pretend to do, will change that.

Second of all... religion is based on ego, telling yourself that you are the best and your religion is the only and the greatest. If you truly accepted someone else's religion then you would not be part of either religion.

People won't leave atheists alone because, well some atheists don't want to be let alone and because religions want to expand, just like everything else, and Atheists are non-religious and ripe for the converting, or so some religious people may think.

So long as there is life on this earth there will be war.

Weak faith and the very real fear of those that live in reality!

The word Christian used to signify someone who believed in a loving god and acted like it but sadly it now appears to symbolize someone who practices intolerance and persecution towards others!

‘Moor too’ recently posted - I can remember when being called or referring someone as a christian in Oz, was a colloquialism for a nice person, regardless of belief system. Sadly American evangelism has changed all that.
