The other day,I borrowed my brother's laptop for some work and then I received a message from someone in yahoo messenger....When I opened the yahoo messenger..It was a girl's id ..
When I confronted my brother,he said he has been doing this for the past 5 yrs....
He initially started it as a joke and slowly he started liking the way guys believe when they chat to a girl and watch them making fool of themselves
He got some random model's pic and has shared as the pic..no wonder,the boys have grown up...
He also targets old men and make them "virtually" cheat their wives and proclaiming their love

He went to the extent of creating a facebook profile for that fictitious girl and allowed some of them to chat with them....

He also has some other profiles...Like an old man giving advice to people in distress,a doctor helping medical problems online

My brother is a cool guy but he's just the type who wont open up to strangers...He loves reading and watching documentaries of history and science....He hangs out with a nice group of friends and he doesnt have any problems...

He tells me that this is just a normal thing which many people do and nothing to worry...But I'm totally worried about him and want him to quit this fake life...

Can someone tell me whether this is normal and what should I do????

You are right! Its time he quits it. This may seem harmless in the begining, but where it may lead to is difficult to comprehend. You have two options:
1. Talk to  him frankly and advice him to quit (not a pleasant option)
2. Login as an unknown user and warn him that you know his identity and will inform the police if he doesnt quit. That should deter him.

Not normal at all. The fact he talks to men and obviously has sexual conversations with them could indicate he is confused about his sexuality. He needs help, talk to your mum or dad because it sounds pretty serious
