yes. it will be best for outfield however which typically is a longer mitt position. However if it is comfortable to you that is all that matters. I play infield and have a bigger mitt. It all depends on the person.

The pattern size of a glove pertains to the width of the glove, and therefore how well it fits your hand. It's not primarily about the length.
If the glove measures more than 12 inches from the tips of the fingers to the heel of the glove, it's not legal to use for baseball. However, no umpire measures unless asked, and no one asks. Besides, if it's marked as a baseball glove, it's not going to exceed that length.
Infielders typically use gloves with shorter fingers and shallower pockets to make it easier to transfer the ball. Outfield gloves typically have longer fingers to give that tiny bit more reach.
So, unless the fingers are particularly long, or the pocket particularly deep, then you could reasonably use that glove at any position.
Mitts are allowed at first and catcher, but a regular glove is also allowed at first, and is also legal for catching under some rules codes.

Small gloves (less than 12") are usually infielders gloves that have shallower pockets. It is so the player can get his hand on the ball faster and transfer it to another infielder faster. A 12' glove is good size for pitcher and maybe outfield (depending on the webbing of the pocket). Outfielder gloves usually have a webbing that you can partially see through (to help block the sun a little but still keep an eye on the ball) with deep pockets. They are usually are little bigger (12.5' or 12.75" for baseball, 13' or up to 14" for softball). Check out the website for Rawlings gloves and you will see what I mean.
I consider a 12" glove a good all around glove.

For a casual league....yes. Some organized leagues, and just about every high-school and college-level league will not let you wear a fielder's glove at Catcher or 1B.
As for size12" may be a little large for infield... Again, if this is just for casual play you should be ok. But for a highly competitve league, the extra fraction of a second it takes you to fish the ball out of that big glove could mean the difference between "safe" and "out."

Yeah, most outfielders use gloves 12 in or bigger, same with 1st baseman and pitchers use whatever is comfortable. If you're an infielder, espicially a middle infielder it's a little more difficult to make quick transfers, but if you can do it then go for it.

You can use it for every position except catcher and first base. However for pitching, make sure it's a solid color glove.

Yes you probably can. It all depends on the size of your hand, and if it is comfy. My friend has a 12 inch glove and he uses it for any position so I assume you can.If you're not positive you can ask your coach.

You can everywhere besides catcher and it wouldn't be to good at second and short... But you can use it anywhere.
