Atheists: Who painted the Mona Lisa?

We have a painting that someone said was called the Mona Lisa.

What is the evidence that there was a painter? Because I would like for you to consider the idea that there wasn't a painter. Rather, the painting evolved over millions and billions of years.

Did you see the painter paint it?

Why do you believe this particular man painted it when there have been thousands of people who have claimed to be painters.

Because of eyewitness documented testimony that he painted it? Why would you believe such documents that were written in other languages long ago?

Why on earth should we put our faith in some old documents that were written by mere men?

The Mona Lisa EVOLVED!!!!!!!!!!

Update:

@ 鵲: I don't know much about your Ray Comfort. I'm honored he would use my arguments though. I hear great minds think alike.

We know there is evidence of who painted the Mona Lisa. There is no direct evidence of who or what created the universe. We do know that matter and energy is what leads to the big bang. Science can tell us that. But we know that science can't show God because there would have to be some type of logical evidence to show a God exists but there isn't any. So science is the best option that gives us an explanation of what causes the big bang. Not a god.

Where to begin? There is no known or proposed process by which a painting can "evolve". There is no evidence that paintings change in content over time.

Furthermore, that a painting exists (we can see it) and was painted by a particular individual is an ordinary claim and as such, ordinary evidence is adequate to document its origins. This is dissimilar to claims of supernatural occurrences for which extraordinary evidence should be expected.

The Mona Lisa was made by a man. There are particular brush strokes, which Leonardo da Vinci was famous for. If you find this ridiculous, aren't the stories of god made by "mere men"? Furthermore, what would it evolve from?

    Source(s): WTF?
  • A man called Leonardo De Vinci painted the Mona Lisa, animals are not man made - or God made, animals formed over millions of millions of years.

I hope you're messing about, and if not, can't you accept evolution and God like most Christians do?

There is a recorded historical proof that master Leonardo da Vinci, April 15-1452, May 2-1519 existed and worked extensively.

Just as a "man" created the Mona Lisa we have also created hundreds upon hundreds of gods.

The logic that all things require a creator voids the logic of gods.

    Think about it!

Leonardo di Caprio painted the Moaning Lisa. Everybody knows that.

It is irrelevant. The Mona Lisa does not threaten people with hellfire, happy land delusions, or rules and commandments to live by.

Leonardo da Vinci. There are tons of records of his existance, including official court records, and we even have his dead body. Do you have any records for God?
