Why do liberals think the deficit is falling ?
When the debt is growing faster and faster every year ... its mathematically impossible for both to occur.
I guess math is now a "right wing" concept ?

Because we aren't ignorant conservatives who believe every word Fox News tells us!
Bush left a $1.4 trillion deficit that did not include the costs of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan!
The deficit is a yearly thing which adds to the debt! By saying it is falling means that the YEARLY deficit is falling more then the previous year!

Because they understand the difference. Budget deficit and public debt are two different things. Deficit/surplus are revenue minus expenditures. Debt is debt. Say I owe $250,000 on my house, and my monthly payment is $1000. I earn $75,000/year, and I spend (including my monthly house payment) $60,000/year. I have a surplus of $15,000, AND as debt of close to $240,000 still. And I can still take on more debt. You may have learned math, but not finance.

They aren't related, The deficit is our forecasted operating expenses. The debt is what Bush spent.
