Does the Second Law of Thermodynamics reflect the spread of immorality?

When man rebelled against God, sin and corruption was introduced into a perfect world. As time passes, that sin spreads and festers, never being reduced, because corruption can not make itself uncorrupted, purity can not come from impurity and only perfection can create perfection. As time passes, we become more violent, more corrupt, destroy the environment in greater amounts, encounter more diseases and pollution of our physical selves and change our values to shun honor and nobility in exchange for avarice and narcissism.

So is the Second Law of Thermodynamics a reflection of the spread of immorality due to the fall of mankind?

@Omenkill

Stop whining about the nature of the question. If you can't answer, say so.

And omenkill, my education is not subject to your approval. If the question was over your head, it is ok to say so.

@Blue Girl, you seem pretty sure of your statement. Do you claim to have been there to glean first hand knowledge on the matter?

@Viking. What you have said is generally true, but there are some common morals that are universally accepted. Focus on those.

@Ihvinny. The progression from order to chaos is not limited to thermochemistry. Perhaps you missed the word "REFLECT" in the original question.

@Hermandez, whether of not you believe in my story is irrelevant. The question does not require it. At least you did post an answer. Your statement of belief (or lack thereof is noted and summarily dismissed.

That is an interesting comparison that I've never considered. I can see what you are getting at and it does seem to be consistent with the prophesies of scripture.

Everything we (humanity) touch does seem to become tainted and once tainted, it can not be cleansed by us.

The more I think about this the more it makes sense. Sin and Entropy are not connected, but they do behave the same way. So I would say the answer is yes.

Not humans, nor human interaction(which is what morality is regarding) are in a closed systems. And you're equivocating with the term "chaotic." Either use it in the colloquial sense or in the physics sense.

    No.

Your story is not a true story: Gods do not actually exist. Man did never rebell against god. The world has never been perfect. We do not become more violent, more corrupt.

    In a word: no.

Entropy deals with number of possible arrangements of particles in a thermochemical system. It has nothing to do with your mythology.

This is like mixing urine with water and hoping for lemonade.

With a question like this one would question the validity of your "degrees"

  • No...and the world was never "perfect".
