Does God actually MAKE things happen?

Question

If you pray and tell him to make you wealthy enough to at least live will he actually make it happen or does he just INSPIRE things to happen? 
Me and my family had been so poor in the past that we were losing everything we as children my siblings I feared we to go live somewhere else other than with our mom (parent/guardian) to another parent/guardian. We only ate one meal a day and were always so hungry. we barely had anything to eat around the house. The only reason were so poor was because we had a lot of payments especially for cars which took out 35% of the money my mom made. we rented and it took away another 50% of her monthly money (which she saved till the end of the month, most of the time we needed to use our rent money to buy more food and we came up short on the rent and landlord didn't like that,), we had no link card, so that's the 15% out of her payement. my mom couldn't handle it that she would cry. She said during this time she always prayed at night to make things better. My mom believes God made the car payments go away and everything. But really it would've happened even if she hadn't prayed. we were a year away from paying out a car anyway. Once you pay out your car you can have it forever.  I know maybe God can't do everything we want. Like making someone fall in love with you or making your filthy rich. God can't also make people do things, you have to do it yourself to get the results you want. Although I'm not sure if he inspires the things to happen or if it's just something that will happen NATURALLY or coincidently...

nothing is impossible with GOD.  he desire is for you to know his son jesus christ. the lord doesnt have good things to say about money, it corrupts. the lord is looking for a willing heart to obey him and love and trust him in life NO MATTER WHATS COMES. but most people grow  in the lord in hard ships not when there on a mountain top. read  proverbs 3; 5-6.

when you compare eternity to these hard times on earth, there really nothing.

This question really depends on what religion a person is because different religion will give different answer. 

I mean... Zeus or Ra probably don't make anything happen like you say, and Buddha doesn't either... maybe the Christian/Jewish/Islam God inspires things to happen... or maybe God doesn't exist and it's really Water, Fire, Tree, Air, Nature, etc Spirits that really exist, and I'm cerain they don't make anything like what you said happen... maybe though none of that stuff exists and really what made car payments go away was caused by something perfectly logical...

You try to put logic into events that you cant explain, that is normal. You just have to believe first and be grateful for what you have and you will see doors open, train your eyes to see. God help us with obstacles in our daily lives even if we believe or not. Think of it this way, you could have been separated from your mother but you didnt, or even homeless, but you weren't.... that's god, be grateful and count your blessings
