The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints(the Mormons) was officially organized on April 6, 1830, and unofficially founded in December, 1829. We were founded under the name of The Church of Christ, to be changed a few years later to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and has stayed as such since then. The term "Mormon" to refer to members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was started soon after the creation of our church as well.
The Jehovah's Witnesses were formed in 1879, but the name "Jehovah's Witnesses" came almost half a century later.
Mormons were first
Source(s): I'm mormon, most of us know the date of our church being founded http://www.religionfacts.com/jehovahs_witnesses/in... (for the date of the JW's) - Anonymous7 years ago

No. One of the major differences is found in the name Jehovah. JWs believe this to be God's name, because it is found in the OT. To the LDS, this is Jesus's name. El is God's name, and Jehovah formed the earth and governed the inhabitants, in His Father's name. Therefore you find the name Jehovah in the OT. Some other differences are: JW's believe that Jesus is Michael. LDS believe that Michael is Adam. JW's do not practice proxy baptisms, the LDS do. JW's do not practice eternal marriages, the LDS do. JW's believe only a few will inhabit heaven, not all JW's will, they will inherit the earth. The LDS believe that almost everyone will get into heaven. One thing close to JW is that the earth will attain its glory and the celestial kingdom will abide upon it. There are several other points, but these are the ones that come to mind now.

Don't you have Google?
Both religions were invented in modern times. Jehovah Witnesses were started in 1870 by Charles Taze Russell, but they underwent a few reorganizations before calling themselves Jehovah Witnesses in 1931.
Mormonism was invented by Joseph Smith in the 1820's.
Clearly Mormonism is older.

Mormon-1800ish (you can Wikipedia for the exact date)
JW-around 1914
Winner: Mormon
Edit:
The 1914 date is coming from when it became an "official" religion (i.e. they had a group name, tax exempt status, etc.) They met before then of course, but the Mormons met sooner.

Actually Jehovah's Witnesses are the older religion since Jehovah is the name of our Creator and in a sense, Abel was the first witness since despite being imperfect, he recognized the truth and acted accordingly and from there, many others followed! Of course they were not called: Jehovah's Witnesses but neither were we to begin with - until this name was adopted.

THE Church Of JESUS CHRIST Of Latter Day Saints
is the true and holy and righteous Church of Jesus Christ
restored to Earth in these, the latter days.
The beginning of this Church began long ago in the Premortal Existence
beyond the reach of imagination, even beyond the memory of mortal
human kind.
1 In the beginning was the gospel preached through the Son. And the gospel was the word, and the word was with the Son, and the Son was with God, and the Son was of God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made which was made.
4 In him was the gospel, and the gospel was the life, and the life was the light of men;
5 And the light shineth in the world, and the world perceiveth it not.
