Its not that we can't be friends its that there is always the initial possibility for more. Also, it goes both ways. I am always skeptical at first due to the fact that what you described fits with most of the woman I come across.

Nope, that is sexist. Men can do anything women can. They did a test on this at a university to find the percentages of people from each gender who were attracted to opposite-gender friends. The results were pretty much the same for both genders. The males had slightly higher percentage of attraction to female friends than the other way around, but the difference was small, the test was on a 1-10 scale, and there was only about half a point difference. Men were only half a point more than women, or half a point more likely to be attracted to friends of the opposite gender. Also, I am a guy, and I have more female friends than male ones. I am not attracted to many, and even in cases when I am, i never say anything about it or try to be anything other than friends.

I think women are willing to be more social and friendly to everyone while men tend to give time only to women they find attractive.

But it's entirely possible for men and women to just be friends.

I don't. It's stereotyping. I am just friends with some women.

Real friendship only exists between men. In women its cattiness.

No, I don't believe that's true, although it might go through a sexual stage first.

I somewhat agree. Men are very likely to try to "push their luck" in an otherwise platonic relationship.

all the male friend Ive ever had have tried to sleep with me at some point. its very disappointing, you think a person is your friend and likes you for who you are then you find out they are just pu$$y hounds.
