I go to other areas of Yahoo more. It's interesting to watch that one sicko on here try to stir things up.

We all know he's rotten to the redcore!

No, it hasn't driven me to other sites...but it has made me very wary. And very sad.

I was away from the computer for a long time. Just recently came back because there's a lot going on in my life right now and I need the distraction. And the sage wisdom of people my own age who made it through similar situations. And just simply the familiar lightheartedness and chuckles that were always abound here in Y/A Seniors.

As for the one who causes so much trouble, I'm sorry to see he's still around. And it's crazy that he's been getting away with this for years now. Wanna hear something funny?.....I finally got my first two violations~ever!~within the last month or so. Didn't hurt me a bit, lol, but there's no doubt where they came from.

Thanks for posting this question and giving everyone a chance to speak out. It's been a while since I've seen some of these long-time members...and there are even a few other familiar faces/names who acknowledged their approval by leaving stars. Have one from me, too, Spike. You earned it!

I haven't been able to take a look at the environment yet in YA, I'm still fussing with Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin and Zynga.

Ever since IE6 upgraded to 7 and then to 8 and they stopped servicing XP well I've run into lots of problems and continuing problems.

Most times when I try to get into Twitter and over a few years they tell me it's full and to try later. Facebook changes it's rules, regs, and the way it does things so often that I haven't been able to keep up with that for a couple of years now. Linkedin (as they say on the daily news) is only good for networking for a "few" people but not all. With regard to Facebook well my relatives left a couple of years ago, and so did a lot of my American players of Zynga. It's all starting to go to pot (as we used to say in the 1970's).

Solitaire keeps me busy and so does my pet and sewing. Wish there were a dating group where you could just go out to a movie, the theatre or for lunch and have a nice chat.

    In a word, Yes.

I do venture into other categories here, and leave some

frivolous answers if the Q is very vague,

but I do spend some time out of YA on other sites.

There is often more of interest on other social sites

more to get one's teeth into, so to speak. I miss

quite a few of the folk who were regular posters.

I do not bother with Facebook, just special interest

    sites.

I am certainly using Y.A. far less than I did and can see this to be true of many other regulars. Some seem to have left completely.

I do not wish to use Facebook or Twitter. Both my daughters use them and, from what I've heard, they are not for me.

I really don't know in what ways I shall use the internet if I leave here but, each time I come, there seems to be less and less to keep me here. It is truly sad. It used to be so enjoyable and friendly. Several friends have been reported repeatedly and have decided to go. Many of us don't think that our challenges to reporting are actually read and think we just receive a standard reply.

    Hi, SPIKE,

I haven't been here as much. I have been busy. But the current environment has made it where I am not as interested in being here.

I am fortunate to have personal E Mail of many and keep in contact that way. I do use many of the other social networks, but none like I did when 360 was around.

Yes, I spend much more time doing other things and less time on Y/A. This section in particular has become boring and over run with people wanting help with homework and asking dumb questions in an attempt to shock us. Some of the questions are long, boring "stories" that are clearly made up. The reported and deleted questions and answers are also at an all time high.

It has driven me further away from the computer more often. Every change takes some getting used to and sometimes it's just easier to back off for awhile.

I go to Facebook occasionally, but my gag reflex has a "hair-trigger" sometimes & keeps me away from there also. I guess I'll get my binoculars and watch some birds for a while.

Yes, I am spending more time off line these days.

many of our old faves here are gone and many of the questions have become either very silly to me or very rude and too political in nature.

Some questions poke fun at seniors and do nothing to make them feel welcome on their own site.

Wish some of the "old timers" would come back on line.

Been ages since I laughed over one seniors potato salad stories or got any real good advice on here.

The environment in Seniors Answers drove me away years ago! I still come back to visit very occasionally. Nice to see a lot of the old crew answering you on here!

Im not visiting the Answers section as much as I use too, maybe a few days a month is enough for me, as for Facebook I lasted about a day and canceled my account and Twitter i'll pass on,
