Pre-Obama, few could get something for nothing which meant that a lot of people were forced to deal with their economic condition in some way. Now we have the Obama plan which means that those who did pay are having some of their benefits reduced or totally taken away. It's true that many could not afford American health care prior to Obama, but those of us who could (we paid insurance premiums) got much better care. Why do you suppose so many came here to get health care services before? Actually, I don't think it was so unpopular, just somewhat expensive. I think the unpopular part was the cost, and now we're getting less care for more cost. Perhaps it's time to start over and make some real, good changes, like financing more med students if they agree to service areas in dire need of medical services, like capping , or at least formulating a solution for malpractice, like NOT allowing grants to pharmaceutical companies to be figured into the cost of newly developed medicines, and the list goes on.

PRIOR to the ACA costs went up( ins co did what ever they wanted to), service went down. Doctors decreased in numbers( most left because they did not have enough paying customers), critically ill patients increased in numbers( no one went to a dr for preventive care). Procedures were dictated by insurance companies nullifying patient/doctor discussions and decisions. Age and health status was a pre existing condition considered for treatment or denial thereof, by insurance companies . Procedural costs was also a factor and decided by insurance companies. Insurance companies decided if you are too old or too sick for further care.

Your second question- the t-party knows nothing!

Medicare should be extended to all.

Some t-party and rep want us to believe it is about quality of care however it is about affordability.

Costs will go up, service will go down. Doctors will decrease in number, patients will increase in number. Procedures will be dictated from bureaucrats in Washington or elsewhere nullifying patient/doctor discussions and decisions. Age and health status will be a condition considered for treatment or denial thereof, by bureaucrats. Procedural costs will also be a factor and decided by bureaucrats. Bureaucrats will decide if you are too old or too sick for further care. It is an attempt to force a one payer system upon us all, thus complete control goes to the bureaucrats.

Thats not possible. People dont even understand the American system outside this country, and many dont understand the Obamacare plan inside this country.

It's like Purgatory - not really single payer & not really private.

It's the living hell between both systems.

People are afraid of change, and the Obama administration failed miserably at explaining the new law to the US Citizens.

A Free Market provides the best care.

Because it sucks. Its why obama, the senate and house have (and voting) to exempt themselves from it
