What are the odds the republicans take the senate in 2014 and impeach & remove Obama from office?
I give it 30% as of today but that number goes up over 50% if the media and the House of Representatives ever figure out a way to get beyond his rope-a-dope Sargent Shultz from Hogans Heroes routine. "I hear nothing" I see nothing". I wouldn't be surprised if Obama tries to recuse himself from answering any more questions.
So if they ever get past his rope-a dope I move the chances above 50%
I see several of you have already adopted the Sargent Shultz approach

Slim. But look at what is happening:
Most states have Republican Governors [60%] - 30.
Most states have Republican Legislatures [56%] - 28. Split in 3 other states.
The US House of Representatives is [57%] Republican.
The Democrats have the Presidency and the Senate, just barely. And Senator Baucus just mysteriously retired.
When you think about it .. all the Democrats have besides Obama is a slim majority in the senate .. that is their total power.
One of the Democrats’ most veteran strategists warns that the party is “in decline” and “at considerable risk” when President Barack Obama is no longer on the scene.
“Since Obama was elected President, the Democrats have lost nine governorships, 56 members of the House and two Senate seats,” Doug Sosnik, the political director in Bill Clinton’s White House, writes in a new memo.
Republicans will return to total power soon.

There is no chance that the Republican party could get a super majority in November and there is nothing to impeach President Obama on. Impeachment proceedings have only been attempted twice in the history of the U.S. and did not result in the removal of the President in either case.

To impeach Obama, the Senate needs a 2/3 vote. The odds of the Republicans gaining a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate is a small fraction of a percent.

You would impeach the President who saved the economy from ruin and made the stock market reach historic heights ? What kind of gratitude is that ? The Dems were pretty stupid not to prosecute the crooks for causing the financial crisis. They try to be social workers. Had they known about this campaign to smear the Pres. they might have done things differently. Such as blaming the 10 different embassy attacks under Bush on his incompetency.
What you suggest is what Republicans have tried to find a way to do since 2008. I suppose if Bill Clinton could be impeached for lying to Congress about sex, Obama can be impeached for any pretext. And Bill Clinton was not removed from office, just impeached.

Because it would cause a huge public backlash and Republicans losing a huge number of seats just like after Republicans tried to impeach Clinton.

Obama will not be impeached
In 2016 a Republican will be elected President because in 2014 Obamacare will be a train wreck.

As it stands right now,, incredibly slim... But the right has adopted an agenda, of throwing mud at the wall, until something sticks... If one thing leads to another, then another, & that policy was used for all politicians... They'd all be out.... Darrel Issa, would be the first one to go...
