Is it fair to say that third world countries are what conservatism looks like in the real world?
In Mexico, there is little spending on public education. The rich pay low taxes. The minimum wage is non-existent. There are no worker's rights laws. There is minimal government regulation of the economy. In terms of economics, they do everything exactly as conservatives advocate for. The results? Carlos Slim, the world's wealthiest billionaire, lives in Mexico. Most everyone who isn't rich, though, lives in poverty.
It's the same story with every other third world country in the world.
Conservatives cling to some sort of fantasy that if we just abolished all government regulations over businesses and let the rich pursue profit with minimal regulations and minimal taxes, that everyone would be extremely prosperous as a result. Yet it's never actually worked out that way in the real world.

Actually, Mexico was controlled by the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) (a socialist party) for 71 years prior to 2000. During that 71 years, the PRI had a reputation for corruption, economic mismanagement and electoral fraud. As of 2012, the PRI has regained a majority both houses of the national Congress. While the PRI isn't as left-wing as some other political organizations, it is definitely NOT conservative.
Even though a somewhat conservative party had the presidency of Mexico from 2000 to 2012, even that party is slightly left compared to the Republican party in the U.S. Additionally, the party never had complete control of the national Congress and the PRI was able to obtain a majority of seats in Congress by 2003. So, if you want to use Mexico as an example, it was actually the socialists, not conservatives, that drove it into the ground.

Actually, it's really interesting to take a look at government spending/GDP ratio across countries.
What comes out is that the minarchist states (the ones with lowest government/GDP ratio) are pretty much all in the third world.

But the reality is that the rich have no intention of "drowning the government in a bathtub". That's just what they tell the mass of useful idiots, so that they will accept a world where government does nothing for THEM.
But when's the last time you heard a "libertarian" cry out against government subsidies to corpoations? Sure, once in a while, they say that's bad too... as a token.
But mostly, they're attacking public schools, libraries, national parks...
Anything that provides the work force with a safety net.
It's all a scam, really.

Yes, they are the result of exploitative, union busting capitalism, as well as refusal to recognize the truth of global warming. They are greedy and don't care about the average person
Hope this helps

a two class system, they just have the idea that if there's one rich and 100k poor, they will be the rich one. That's the fantasy that drives conservatism. It would solve the immigration problem though.

Cool story, bro. Maybe you can move to Mexico since you are comparing a superpower to it. Conservationism and capitalism are the reason why we don't live in the stone age.
