Rock & Pop: Who else here has tinnitus?

In August 1980 I was at an outdoor festival,

where I found myself trapped between

80,000 people trying to get to the front, and

the stage left speaker stacks for AC/DC

on the "Back In Black" tour.

My hearing has been severely damaged ever since.

All I got to see of AC/DC was Angus Young's knees going past.

However, in 32 years I've almost gotten used to it.

Hello.Yes.I was trying to learn drums when i was 18.I used to play in the bedroom.Went deaf in my right ear for many days.Hearing came back but bad ringing in my right ear still.It can keep me awake.I'm 49 now.

What is strange with both my ears now is that i can't stand loud noises that much.If i go to a concert now i go a long way back.

Just to add young man.Be careful with the loud music.The ears can't handle it for too long.Try to listen at lower levels.Good day to you..

I thought I had it after a concert I recently went to. It cleared up after 2 days though. Anyway, during the time I thought I had it I did some research on it and while getting rid of it completely is very tricky if not impossible there are apparently ways to lessen the ringing.

My ears ring every once in awhile, but it's so infrequent it's probably something else. I am anemic though and have really bad allergies. I guess everyone has their own problems.

I have a ringing in my ears ocasionally but its rare for me. Its easy for me to get rid of. I plug my ears one side at a time and use the other hand to knock on msyelf in the back of the head at the base of the skull and it makes the ringing go away after under a minute. (no im not kidding but i doubt it would work well for you if you have perminent damage)

Mine do. I only notice it when there is no external nouse, but if I focus on it it sounds really loud. Kinda wish I would have worn earplugs at all those shows I used to go to.

I've got it but it isn't too loud, so I usually don't notice it.

Mine isn't too loud, but as long as I don't think about it, I don't notice it.
