Men and women: Based upon your gender and real world experience, do you feel particularly privelged?

Now based upon real life experiences with the opposite sex, do you believe them to be privileged?

Being privileged would have meant I was given special treatment for no reason. That didn't happen. I had to work for everything I have.

As for the opposite sex, any woman who has ever dated me has been privileged.

In the grand scheme of the world, I am absolutely privileged. I am a white woman from an industrialized country who is well educated. I've got privilege coming out my ears.

But then so do a lot of the men I deal with. Some of them are more aware of it than others.

Yes, I do notice how I have certain privileges as a man, but because I'm openly bisexual, I'm oppressed by the heterosexual community often.

"Now based upon real life experiences with the opposite sex, do you believe them to be privileged?"

--No, most of them are not privileged, but there are exceptions. Most women have to fight and work harder than men to get anywhere in life if they choose to be independent. The world is very patriarchal.

no, to me someone that is privileged is someone that was lucky enough to be born into wealth or has the right connections to it (all about 'who' you know not 'what' you know).

This generation is the most over qualified ever, but without the right connections you're just another number applying for a job among 100's of other applicants with similar qualifications

I am the mother of two beautiful children. I am blessed to have conceived them, felt them grow within me and given birth. To give life is an amazing gift of Womanhood.

Manhood/Fatherhood are special in their own right.

I am a proud American and a proud Catholic wife and mother. My husband is also a proud American and proud Catholic husband and father.

I don't think either one of use thinks that one of us is more "privileged" than the other. We're happy in our own skin.

Definitely. Tim Cook is a white man. I'm a white man. Therefore, we have same privileges.

No and no. I did once meet this posh couple, but that's about it. Everyone else i know is boringly normal

Although other people would give anything to live our "normal"
