    4b(b+4)=0

    4b^2+16b=0

    4b^2=-16b

    b^2= -16b/4

    b^2= -4b

    b^2/b= -4

    b= -4

    It's Easy .. first you divide both sides by (4b) so the euation becomes : b+4=0 then you have b=-4 :) .. because if you have two numbers multiplied by each other equal zero then one of the terms must be equal zero and it can't be 4b so it must be b+4 so you say that b+4=0 so b=-4 .. hope i helped you :)

    The zero product property will help you on this one. This property says that if you multiply some numbers together and the result is 0, then one of the numbers you multiplied together must be 0. One of the numbers multiplied was b, so b could be 0 (one solution). Also b + 4 was multiplied, so b + 4 could be 0.

    Solve:

    b+4 = 0

    b = - 4 or b = 0 (as stated above).

    Factor the 4b to the b an the 4 an then solve. Easy
