Have you ever sold your hair?

Have you ever sold your hair? How much did you get for it? My hair is ridiculously long, so I was planning on chopping it in a couple months. I'd like to see if I can sell it. I've checked out a couple sites online but I'm not sure which one is the best or the most reputable. All the articles I've read say you can get about $400-$900 for your hair, but I would love to get some input from someone with first hand experience. I want to know if its worth the effort and is a lucrative endeavor.

Length, condition, color, thickness all play a big part in sales for the most money.

My daughter in 2006 sold her hair by herself on line on her own site.

She got $3,500 for it, it was 38" long, virgin hair, and she did a video of the cutting, she had it all cut off into a 1/4" crew cut. She then sold the videos for $25 each and sold 250 more of them.

My wife had her hair 9'3" in 1979 and sold 9' of it for $1200.

Sales or promoting your hair is what really catches the buyers eye.
