Government mass surveying secretly?

i had a physics exam today completely unrelated to space, there was a question on momentum and they just based it on a space station scenario (which is fair enough) but then on the next page it had a question saying 'do you agree with space travel? circle yes or no then explain why' this just struck me as odd? this was clearly unrelated to the specimen and was pretty much a survey question, why would they ask that in an exam for 16 year olds? its like they were trying to do a mass survey subtly as if it was an exam question?

A question like that does not belong in a physics exam. the time spent answering detracts from your score and there is no clear answer.

Perhaps you are right. Compared to the information that is gathered on people in general from internet activity to phone records it seems a negligible worry.
