How can newshows or newspapers be biased toward republican or democratic viewpoints? The news just reports events that happen.?

Just look at CNN reporting, the terms CNN use show their biased.

At 2pm last Thursday a struggling single father was forced to rob a bunch of greedy bankers. This is only the latest in a series of avoidable tragedies bought about by rampant inequality. The man had recently lost his house in fire which had likely been caused by the same global warming that these self-same bankers perpetuate in their lending practices
