Social Conservatives, what would you do if you were near a burning barn and...?
...and you only had the ability to save 1 of 2 things inside of it:
1) A 5-year old child
2) 20 lab dishes, each with a fertilized human egg in it.
If you believe that life begins at conception, then surely you would opt to save 20 human beings instead of one. Right? Imagine the appalled look on all the townspeople's faces if you came out of the barn having only saved 1 child instead of 20.
To all you geniuses out there, "If you believe life begins at conception" was the key part of the question. Conception = sperm implants in the ovum.

I put them there to reveal right-wing hypocrisy lol

A fertilized egg isn't going to live in a lab dish very long. What are you going to do, run out the door and implant them into twenty different women real fast?

I'd save the 5-year-old. But that would have no bearing on whether the 20 prenatal humans in petri dishes were living human individuals. Not one of them would stand a chance unless he or she were implanted in a mother's uterus. As petri dish residents, they are already doomed. The 5-year-old has a fighting chance.
Notice that you said I "had the ability to save 1 of 2 things." 20 humans are not one, and humans are not things.
Cheers,
Bruce

Most conservatives would save the 5 year old because fertilized human eggs couldn't survive in a barn especially if it was burning.
Most liberals wouldn't even attempt to go in a burning structure - They'd call the fire department then stand back and watch the place burn to the ground. When asked later why they didn't attempt a rescue they'd have some lame excuse like, "It's not my responsibility, things like that should be left to the authorities!"

What were the town's people doing while I was trying to save lives?
Were they waiting for someone from the government to show up?

The child is aware of him/herself and will suffer from the fire. The child can feel pain.

Here's another one I've thought before I heard others say it...
If it's proven that homosexuality is developed while prenatal, will social conservatives support abortion?

Hey, you said we could only save one thing, twenty things are not one thing.
