What to buy: Wii or PS2?

Fist of all, I DON'T CARE FOR GRAPHICS and I don't have enough money to buy an Xbox 360 or a PS3. I just want to know which of the two is the better buy.

Please also take into consideration the cost and game library.

TY!

I recommend that you get The Sony Playstation 2 because The Sony Playstation 2 has a lot of great games for that never will bore you one bit like Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas or God Of War II and The Sony Playstation 2 has a lot of great games for it and the games on The Sony Playstation 2 are way better than Nintendo Wii and some of the best games off all time are from The Sony Playstation 2. Overall, The Sony Playstation 2 is a excellent console and it wont' disappoint you one bit.

Source(s): I own The Playstation 2 and I love it to death.

I would endorse a PS2 seeing that it has much more video games and which you could buy a watch Toy which is just like the Wii on account that it means that you can be the controller and the video games are interactive. The PS2 is also quite a bit less complicated to comprehend and there are more of them being offered. There are not very many Wiis, making them type of high-priced. The PS2 also plays DVDs. I do not believe the Wii can, despite the fact that I have no idea a lot concerning the Wii. It appears weird to me.

PS2 is much better than Wii.

    PS2

    Pros:

    Big library of games

    Better games for hardcore gamers

    Cheaper on everything

It puts you straight in the game.

    Cons:

    Nothing really

    Wii

    Pros:

    Games for family

    Motion Sensing

Great Coop Games without the need of a multi adapter

    Cons:

No games that are for hardcore gamers

Wii remote may not be for everyone

Coop Games aren't as great as PS2

    Summary:

In all, PS2 is a much better choice for people who really want to have a big library of games with a cheaper system & very cheap games. The library is not just bigger, but it has more variety as well because you can find some family games and you can find very violent shooters so therefore it can practically adjust to any ones needs.

  • PlayStation was a big part of my childhood. Nothing will be as good as the PS2! It is a great console, you can play DVD's on it as well as play really great games with such depth and long play times.

    Buying a PS2:

    - Loads of different genres in games

    - Games are cheap and easy to come by (eBay is great for them!)

    - You can play PlayStation One games (giving you a larger game range)

    - The remote is pure genius (can never be matched)

    - Only 2 wires (power and input)

    - Will never have to buy batteries for controllers

When buying this console, I'd recommend buying...

Need for Speed: Underground. A racing game with the added bonus of being able to drive around the city you race in.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. A great game which will keep you occupied for a long while! With a story and lots of opportunities for you to explore the world.

Harry Potter (Any of the series). These are really fun to play. The way they integrate magic into the game is so much fun!

Spyro (any of the series). Spyro is an amazing little dragon, you can fly and glide which I thought was really cool when I was younger. It's a legend of a game.

Spiderman. It is such a good game! Combining combat and the element of swinging from building to building.

SSX3. Is a snowboarding game, where you have to conquer all the races on a mountain. There are freestyle and race battles. You can also explore the open world too!

Space Jam (PS1 game). A brilliant game where you can play as the looney tunes! A good game to play with a friend.

Tom Clancy: Double Agent. An amazing game, you can pick locks and everything! A real good spy game.

Tony Hawks. You can't have a PlayStation or any console and not have played a Tony Hawks skateboarding game. It has to be done! Hours of endless fun.

Call Of Duty 1,2 and 3. These were the best then, and are still now. Games that brings you through a brilliant journey.

Collin McRae Rally. Great for pure racing and thrill of drifting and fast cornering.

Dancing Stage Fusion (Dance Mat). It keeps you fit, I use it today to keep in shape and have hours of fun! This game is one for the history books.

WWE SmackDown Shut Your Mouth. A brilliant game! Using chairs and tables as weapons. Fighting for the belt, and survival rounds. And the opportunity to create your own character.

I don't have much to say about the Wii unfortunately. I own one. Only ever played it for Guitar Hero (which you can also get on PlayStation), the Wii Sports is good, but it gets boring and the same after a while.

You also have to buy batteries all the time, or buy the rechargeable ones, but the inconvenience of having to change them got on my nerves a lot.

There are good games on them, but the controller limits you in the way you play in them.

However, you can play GameCube games on them. But need the GameCube controllers and other GameCube components.

I can't recommend games on the Wii because I didn't play many. They also bear the higher price tag of games as it's a newer console. In my opinion, I'd say the PS2 has more variety and length in it's games.

    Hope this helped. :]

PS2 has a far superior library of games (not to mention, they'd all be a lot cheaper). PS2's library is also probably the best off time, too.

I would say PS2, but just saying, you can get an xbox 360 for $50 on craigslist.
