yes smoking weed can make you go psycho, if your friend has a history of mental illness in the family or even just the genetic predisposition for any mental illness such as skitzophrenia, he can eventually get a mental illness himself

my uncle got really badly addicted to weed about 10 years ago, he was diagnosed with skitzophrenia and the doctors said that our whole family has a higher chance of getting mental illness (compared to the average person). because im stupid i started smoking weed every now and then with friends, and now everytime i have weed i hallucinate really badly and do wierd psycho things and just think about murder and death, and even a week after it im still thinking weird things.

you need to get your friend to stop smoking weed! if he acts like that when he smokes it means he is getting closer to getting a mental illness and becoming psycho all the time, not just when he is high

Marijuana can sometimes bring on the onset of schizophrenia in some cases but these affects will last 2 weeks and usually go away. What you explained could be due to the affects of weed itself, usually its long periods of laughing, intense hunger and drowsiness.

It's not the pot,,, it's your friend,, the pot just allows him to act weird. Tell him he is the reason people think marijuana is like 'reefer madness'. It's not,,, and if it did make people psycho it wouldn't be legal for medical marijuana. some people are just stupid,,, pot gives them excuse to do that.. You want to help him??? Yes it can though I am not sure how. For some you will never have an issue. I was using it for a spinal injury and it does indeed stop the pain (at first at least) but I found I needed larger and larger amounts. Eventually it knocked me in to psychosis. I was jumping around multiple personalities ranging from God to the Master chief to thinking I'm in the matrix. I struck my Mother and attempted to kill her before she managed to get me to the hospital. I only remember about 30% of my time during the first 3 days in the hospital. I also apparently attacked one of the other patients and a doctor.

I ended up trying it again about a year later and I am starting to get psychotic symptoms again. I am just going to stay away from it. I can't use it but I know several people who have used it for years safely. All I can figure is there is something in my genetics that does not agree with cannabis. My advice is to take it slowly and cautiously and watch for warning signs.

I think he is messing with you because marijuana makes you calm and happy. And you normally don't forget what happened if you smoke weed. I'm pretty sure that's only when you are drunk.

no it can not like other drugs, but it can make you paranoid, and its bad for you like smoking is.

you can get Toxic poising from smoking it too much, but every once in awhile is okay.

Was it laced with pcp, or something? Either that, or he is just messing with you.
