How concerned should I be with a tire's temperature rating?

I'm referring to the UTQG rating given to the tire that shows how well it does at dissipating heat when rolling. An A graded tire is good for speeds over 115 mph, while a B graded tire is good for speeds over 100 but below 115.

Obviously the A graded tire is theoretically better, but since I won't be driving over 100 anyway, does it really matter if I get an A or B graded tire?

UTQG has nothing to do with speed rating. The UTQG is an in-house manufacturer rating of relative treadwear, traction and temperature capabilities. Take it with a grain of salt, it is not set or rated by a official testing agency. So are you referring to the traction or temperature rating? Again, your speed rating is a complete different number, which will also be posted on your tire sidewall. If you are referring to a B rating as far as temperature it would only be a concern if you live in a warmer part of the country such as Arizona, Texas or Florida.
