Which park has the best fourth of July fireworks?
I am trying to plan my fourth of July weekend. I usually avoid the parks during busy Holiday times. However, after spending New Years Eve at MK I decided I wanted to see what they do on the Fouth of July. I am leaning towards MK. I have heard Epcot has a pretty amazing fourth of july version of Illuminations. Since Illuminations is my favorite firework show I kind of think I should check it out. I really HATE Wishes. Wishes is so freaking boring I seriously just stare at the crowd when I am forced to watch it.
Anyways, if you could be at any park on 4th of July then which one would you be at.
I am a cast member so I can pretty much go anytime. I do not care if the park reaches capacity. I rarely go for the rides anyway since i have lost count of the times I have been on them. I just love the general atmosphere. I love it when the park reaches capacity and its wall to wall people. Thats when the people watching gets really exciting.

I would also probably choose Illuminations. I love that show and I can't get enough of it. I actually make it a point to see it each time I go to the park, so I often end up seeing it about three times each time I get to Florida.
Wishes is a solid "meh" for me as well. I don't usually go out of my way for it anyways; I prefer going on the more popular rides while people are standing around waiting for the show to start.
So, if I were there for the 4th of July, I would definitely see Illuminations.

Hey Nemo,
You definitely have a different take on spending time at Disney World. Most of us try to optimize our time there and are worried about crowds because we spend a basket of money and time to go there. In some ways I am jealous, and in some ways I still like each trip to be special and that would be ruined by going so often.
Now, for you it looks like Illuminations is the way to go. You have seen the 4th at MK, and you generally "hate" Wishes. I happen to feel the exact opposite about this. I think that the Illuminations globe is old and tired, and too much of the show takes place low over the water where it is difficult to see. For Wishes, it is up in the air and I can see it from many places. I love the classic Disney themes and music that go along with it. I see it and remember when my 6'2" son was young enough to hold my hand on Mainstreet USA.
To each his own. Go for Illuminations and somehow let us know how it was for the 4th. If I have not already, I hope to run into you sometime at WDW.
Best "wishes" to you and yours.

I've read that the Fireworks during the fourth of July at MK are some of the best (Though the person reporting that preferred the Halloween ones).
Honestly, you can't go wrong, though MK will probably be close to if not at capacity.
