Scientists say that global warming now is very bad and ice sheets on the pole are melting but why is it still very cold in Alaska? It's at about freezing point even in summer.

Cold relative to what? To previous average temperatures? The average temperature for Alaska has been trending upward since the 1950s

they only developed the technologies to degree the quantity of Arctic ice in the Seventies. on account that at that component they have been panicking approximately worldwide cooling, you could anticipate the ice at that component could be thicker than it somewhat is now. The globe has certainly warmed and as you could anticipate, it particularly is melted some ice. The question is - will it proceed to get heat as Al Gore's movie envisioned or will that is greater like the UN IPCC sort or will it as a replace flow right into a cooling era? Of the three, i think of we are finding on the third risk, reasonable to severe cooling lasting for some years and with lots worse effects than warming. I anticipate the refrain to %. up that song in the subsequent 3 hundred and sixty 5 days or so if it particularly is real, yet I think of they're going to locate the only answer is for the UN to flow forward and take over what you could and can't do on a daily foundation, comparable to with warming.

Scientists say that the summer is warmer than the winter, but despite us getting closer and closer to the summer the ice at the North Pole has not turned to boiling water.

1. Find dictionary
2. Learn what it is
3. Look up "global"
4. Note that "global" is not equal to "Alaska"

it's called GLOBAL, and climate is an average. At what point did this mean it was going to be warmer everywhere?
changing the arctic ice likely changes the weather patterns, warmer in some places (like Greenland) and cold in other places, like Alaska.
The point is climate is changing. Get used to it.

The absolute top glaciologists in the world are in Iceland, as you might assume. They report that some glaciers are retreating and others are growing. The global total mass of glaciers is the same as it has been for hundreds of years. Strangely, only the retreating glaciers get mentioned.
In 2009 the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration posted on the internet that sea ice was unchanged from 1979, It was taken down a few days later, probably at the order of a Republican spy in the White House because Republicans don't believe in science.
The polar bear population is measured every year by the Department of the Interior. 2012 was a record high, beating the previous record of 2011, which beat the previous record of 2010, which beat the previous record of 2009, and so on. Polar bear populations have been growing for the past 20 years.
Not all scientists say that global warming is very bad. Climate scientists deal in a few hundred years of data. Geologists deal in billions of years of data. Geologists are largely barred from discussions about global warming.
I am prepared to believe that global warming is real. The proof needs to allow for why Mars and Jupiter have been warming in parallel with the Earth. It also needs to correct the East Anglia model, on which all of the predictions are based. The model stopped working almost 20 years ago, but the "scientists" tried to keep that a secret. Scientists do not keep secrets, but politicians do.

Greenland had a record heatwave pushing arctic air down on N. America

The average temperature in the North Polar region has been increasing at a rate of almost half a degree (C) per decade (i.e. 4.7 degrees per century).

Because like most people who promote global warming they are allergic to the truth and reality.
