What should I do with my life?

At first, I wanted to be a psychiatrist. But I later found out that I prefer psychology. But there are so many interesting things I just can't ignore. I love art and music. I would like to be a musician, painter, writer and poet. I also really really like physics and astronomy. And also I like mathematics, and animals.

Concluding, my dream is to be a psychologist, physicist, zoologist, astronomer, musician, painter, writer and mathematician. All these are not just "hobbies" or likes of mine. I acquire a lot of knowledge from all of these roots and would like to study all of them further on. What can I do? I could easily study psychology and be a writer, musician and writer, but what about the other studies? Should I study more than 2 careers at university?

Seriously, how did Da Vinci, Newton, and all those great philosophers handle with so many studies. I know they are geniuses, but how could they? I feel a little but sad about this.

Thank you.

Yes study more careers, as you will need back up.

No reason that you cannot acheive all of this.

I have a BA, BS, MBA and a PhD in several areas. I am a musician, and also and have written myown stuff. I was an Advertising Artist and Art Director for 19 years with my own Company for one, and have done several other things as well.

Astrophysics, Physocology, Socialolgy, Art, Pholosophy and presently in Film Production.

Choose the one you love best; figure a way to make a living at it, and you will never Work a day in your life. You will have time too persue all and I see no reason not to persue all you can.

There are different ways of getting involved in some fields, such as volunteering at the animal shelter, and organising events related to painting and music.

As for academic studies, if you have the time and money, you could do another degree after your first, but ultimately I feel you should know why you want to learn these things. Do you want to contribute to lives of others in a specific way, or do you just want to gather as much knowledge as you can? What will you do with what you have learnt?

If you can figure out what you want to do with the knowledge you gain from your studies, and decide on the priority (that thing which is going to make your life fulfilled), maybe you will have a clearer direction. I too have many passions but we all have to deal with the law of scarcity and make some choices to have a fulfilling life.

If your truly passionate about all these subjects then you should pursue them no ones stopping you if seeking knowledge makes you truly makes happy then you shouldn't stop yourself from achieving your dreams you could possibly be one those people who could make a major difference in the world just have faith in yourself and take it one step at a time I'm sure greats like Newton and Da Vinci had to take there time to perfect their crafts before they became the geniuses they were in their time.

As you seem to be so cleaver and knowledgeable , why ask us what you want to do with your life. How can we choose your future. Surely only you can answer that . after all it's your life not ours.
