What can I do or where can i go with £1000?

I just inherited some money and I know the person I got it from would want me to do something with it and not just have it in my bank account, I want to get or go somewhere really nice but I don't know what/where? any ideas of good holidays you have been on or something really nice to buy thanks guys :)

    It depends on where you are flying from and what type of destination you like. Some people like big city, others like nature/beach. I would think Italy is a nice place to visit.
