Issues with my Dell Computer's Fan?I?
About two and a half, something like that, weeks ago. My Dell Computer fan went out. It's a Dimension model, I searched up reasons why it might have went out and solutions to it. I managed to cleaned the fans inside the CPU a bit, got a good amount of dust out. When its fan first quit working, every time I turned it on, a message would showing say press F1, etc.
Now that same message doesn't show, but I still don't hear the fan working. Also, it's still running slow. Like when I'm trying to watch YouTube videos. Is it time to have a professional look at it (again) and install a new fan/s or any other solutions. I received it as a Christmas present back in 2004 when I was in the 5th grade, so I'm guessing that's the year this certain model was out on the market.

Computer fans can fail at any time. You can see if it is still not working, and if it isn't, you should replace it as soon as possible. The fan keeps the computer cool, which is very important to keep it working properly. It may also be causing your computer to run slower. Fans can be purchased and installed yourself, but it may be best to take it to a professional to ensure it is fixed properly.
