Is the Scripps spelling bee rigged no one can spell this words, I haven't even heard most of them?

by most I mean 99 percent of them

    Southern Conservative? Sorry, couldn't resist. Spelling bees are full of rare words, as by the time someone gets to the finals, they have to weed them out fast or the competition will never end.

    The English language has a very large lexicon, you can't know all of them.
