Mystery of the law email?
I have just recieved an email saying that I may have been added to police records. As far as I am aware I'm sure I have done nothing to cause this. The email gives another address for me to check which is 'not found' on computer, and is signed Dominic Weeks. Does anyone know anything about this? Had I better do something to protect myself?

Sounds like a scam.
Take say the first line of the email, put it in quotes then search that sentence in google. You'll find evidence it's a phishing scam.

People really should have to undergo an I.Q. and commonsense test before being able to purchase a computer or access the internet.

Load of rubbish. The police do not send emails such as this. Someone is winding you up.
