Feudal Japan or Medieval Europe?
Which would you rather live in? Sorry if the question doesn't make sense for whatever reason

Feudal Japanese I think as long as I was a plain fisherman who only had to do what I was told and keep away the all of the Samurai etc

If in the 15th century, then Europe, where I would try to venture out to Italy where the Renaissance was taking place. Assuming I don't get my through slit by bandits on the way there (or maybe I'm an ex-mercenary so I have weapons, a horse, and fighting skills), I would find some really dank weed (which they did have back then) and hit a nasty dub in the Sistine Chapel with Michelangelo.
If in the 14th century, then Japan, because of the plague.

Medieval Europe, no doubt.
If I were a peasant, there would be no difference.
As for the nobility, both were expected to provide military service. However, European knights were not expected to commit suicide for dishonoring themselves by being defeated, and even being captured was no shame. It happened. Additionally, while war is always a shame, if I had to choose between fighting people of my same culture who spoke the same language (Japan) or other peoples (Europe, though there was also plenty of infighting in Europe), I would choose other peoples.

That would depend on my position in society and job.
If a peasant,it wouldn't be any better in one or other.
If I was a member of the feudal aristocracy, again,it wouldn't be any worse in one or other.
If I was a priest or monk or some other member of the clergy, then Medieval Europe.
