Can you teach a baby two languages at the same time?

My boyfriend speaks English so our baby will speak English but I'm Latina and I want my kid to speak Spanish too.

Is it possible?

  • Yes! Absolutely! I think that is the best thing to do. My parents did that with me, but with Italian/English. The way they did it was, at home we spoke only Italian. But when went in public we would only speak english. Having your child know spanish is such a great skill to have for a young child. Spanish is my third language, and I think it would be best for you to teach your child both at the same time.

I grew up speaking English and French so I would say yes.

Yes, don't worry about this. It'll be very good to your children. My parents told me Brazilian Portuguese and English at same time. Good luck for you and your bilingual children.
