Have you been denied a job because of your body modifications?
I'm doing a speech on this and I'd like to hear from anyone who has been denied a certain job because of their tattoos even though you had the ability to perform the job or even had the education for it.
If so, did they specifically say that it was the tattoos/piercings, or did they come up with an off the wall reason?
A lot of places claim to be "Equal Opportunity Employers," when in reality they're not.
So let me hear your stories or situations, people!
I'd love to incorporate it into my speech.
(I know this isn't the right category, but i'm posting it in a few places to get more responses. Hopefully)

not personally no - but I can imagine some prejudice when hiring regardless of what the law actually states about equal opportunity etc. Age is another big factor effecting hiring decisions - imagine if you are old and have tattoos and or piercings - you'll never get hired. Good luck with the speech - oh could always try basketball as a profession- The Birdman at Miami Heat seems to be making a living!
